Big day today. We trekked all the way into the City to go the the London Zoo. It was freezing, and Rosie enjoyed sleeping in her snuggly stroller with only her eyes showing. Rosemary had her first swim lesson today. She had to be woken up at the early hour of 9:30 am to head to the pool. She was such a cutie. I can’t say she loved every minute of it…there were some definite “You’re putting me in THERE?” looks. But she did seem to enjoy most of it once she was in. Especially when the teacher put the bouncy balls in the pool.

The research is always changing. If you did things by-the-book, you’d be a disaster. I think it’s important to remember these are all “guidelines.” No two babies are alike or going to reach milestones at the same age, and in the end, I think the old adage, “mother knows best,” is usually true.
