The weather changed suddenly the past couple of days. It was in the 80s again, and then BAM, pouring rain and in the 60s. And so, Monday arrives and we are trapped in the house. Rain = no park trip in the afternoon. Rosie = not happy.
So after we exhausted our in-the-house activities, I put on her rain boots (which are a whole size too big) and bundled her up. We just went out in the alley...

We did the fair today. So much fun with the tot, and the weather held off on rain pretty much the whole time! I am pretty sure Rosie’s favorite part was stomping in puddles with a blow-up pink unicorn that Grandpa Dan bought her. Other highlights included: her first Fisher scone, the petting farm, and a big drumset she could bang on.

One of my favorite things about being a parent is the things you don’t expect. Most babies will eventually have a first smile, stand up, first steps, first words, etc. But the other things are the real kicker—things like how she enjoys sweeping with the broom, eating pickles, shoving popcorn in her dad’s face, or her love of dogs.

Anonymous asked: Just a quick question that I hope isn't too personal. Just wondering if you are going to tandem feed when the new baby arrives or try and wean Rosie before the newborn arrives? I have a 11.5 month old who is still breastfeeding and expecting a new baby in April. Just curious about your plans?
We took a walk to the library tonight, which we do a lot with Rosie in the wagon. Always have to keep an eye on her, as she tosses things out on a whim. I can’t tell you the number of times we’ve had to circle back on walks to retrieve a missing item. Of course, when there are library items within her grasp, extra caution is needed.
