So crafty, so crafty!
My mom and I went to a Memorial Day sale at a favorite fabric spot. We found this Yo Gabba Gabba fabric to make Rosie a pillowcase. Rosie’s a huge fan, and even though my mom hates that show, we got some anyway. It turned out pretty cute, for my limited sewing ability (I probably should’ve done it so the characters were vertical, but oh well). Rosie loves it, that’s all...

Hey Aussies...
Does anyone in Australia want to trade little care packages for our babies? I totally want a couple of Bonds Wondersuits—those little collars are adorbs! They look so sweet and practical!
There must be something you want from America…email me at in9months@gmail.com if you are interested.

Popcorn
Rosie’s favorite snack. I know you apparently are not supposed to give popcorn to toddlers because it’s a choking hazard. And we resisted for a long time. But we eat popcorn a lot and she really liked it when we let her try some. She gets very excited and wants to hold the bowl. We try to only get her to take one piece at a time.
Much like her dad, she totally loves it.

Happy three months, smiley girl. You’re getting to be such a big girl. You like to listen to stories and stare at toys and grab my shirt and hair and face. You giggle and smile and kick your legs with ferocity. You like to watch your sister. You like to be carried around facing outward so you can see everything. You like lights and baths. You like to sit up. When can make an...

Anthea had her first swim on Saturday. We went to the ocean for the weekend, and our hotel pool was super warm. I suited her up in the little wetsuit and a swim diaper of Rosie’s (yeah, they are almost the same diaper size) and plopped her into my mom. She loved it…was totally happy to just lay there and take it all in. She didn’t like any sort of splashing, but was happy to...

My Boppy pillows have names
The bigger, plusher one is called The Big Bopper.
The smaller, slimmer one is called Buddy Holly.

Oh hey, look who’s 11 weeks old today!
She is napping for shorter spans (but sleeping pretty well at night) and wanting to sit up all the time. I had to remove the infant wedge from her car seat because her feet were hanging out. Still loves to smile and coo and kick.
And getting sooo big!

(My new citrus trees!)
1) Today is my birthday!
2) When I was younger, I always used to go to the drive-in movie and get a 6-foot sub for my birthday party. I’d invite like 10 friends, and we’d pile into the back of a truck and stay up way too late. I’d get really mad if it rained and we had to change the plans (which it often did, as we lived in Seattle and it’s May).

I took Rosie to an open gym yesterday. I knew she’d love it. I was worried Anthea would wake up and not want to be in the Ergo, but luckily she slept solid in the stroller where I had parked it in view. I was able to chase Rosie around and help her for the whole hour. I’ve gotta get this kid into a class. She did not want to leave. Her particular favorites were the tumble track,...

Babies like playing in the blossoms in our front yard. Some more than others. When the blossoms stuck to Rosemary’s skin, she said, “Ick” and made a really nasty face that was not at all cute in 95% of the pictures I took. And Anthea was sweet and content as ever. Those are my girls!
