8 weeks old today! And Rosemary’s showing some Seattle pride—even though the outfit’s a tad big, making our little Sea Gal look more like a linebacker.
Rosemary’s done so well sleeping at night this week, finally moving from two-hour stretches to four- or five-hour ones. Naptime is still a bit of a conundrum. She falls sound asleep on me, and wakes up the second I put her in the moses basket. Perhaps I’m just too warm and cozy as a sleep spot. She also prefers to nap in the car seat after we go somewhere. I take what I can get.
She’s smily and it seems like she’s so close to letting out a belly laugh. Andrew makes funny sounds for her and she loves it. She will also mimic him when he sticks out his tongue. It’s pretty cute. She also makes all kinds of talking noises that sound a lot like “Ahhhhgggoooooo!”
She loves the big bath, bouncing on the exercise ball, staring at the TV (she watched Band of Brothers intently), being read to, walking in the Baby Bjorn, eating, and is in the early stages of discovering her hands. She will grab and hold onto her peacock toy if I get it in the way of her hands. She still hates tummy time, though, she seems to have pretty strong neck muscles as it is.
The poor kid has to get her shots this week, which I’m dreading. But I am excited to see how much she weighs. She’s certainly growing quickly.
She’s such a sweet baby, and very easy for the most part. We got pretty lucky!
