When we moved back to the US last May, we bought a brand new Ford Escape Hybrid. Two weeks later, we found out our second baby was on her way. We really liked driving the ‘Brid, but once Anthea was born, it was feeling a little cramped, seating-wise. Once two car seats were installed, there was not enough room for a spare passenger or much else. Not to mention, our car payments were rather high. 

We traded it in today on this zippy Mazda 5—halved our car payments, and we now have six seats, if we need them. Let me tell you, that being at a car dealership with Rosemary and Anthea for the better part of a day was not easy. But, we’re feeling a lot better about our two-carseat vehicle situation. 

And it’s slightly cooler than a minivan, no? : )
